Leaders

We have an eldership team that leads the church comprising of Jon, Dan and Matthew.

Matt and Ann Clifton-Brown

Matt and Ann came to Edinburgh over 6 years ago to plant the church from Newcastle. Matt leads the eldership team and is also involved in a wider ministry helping to oversee churches in Perth and Dundee and training leaders to plant further churches. They have 6 grown up children and 8 grandchildren (started young!). In their spare time they like live Jazz, theatre and South Africa.

Dan and Julie Hudson

Dan and Julie joined the church 6 years ago. Julie works part-time as a GP, and Dan work full time for the church, although he used to give his time to developing wind-turbines and sewage!

Dan's main gifting is teaching and preaching, but also oversees administration, the new building project and the youth and children's work. They have 3 young children Jack, Sam and Evie and in their time off sleep!

Jon and Lucy Simpson

Jon and Lucy were living in Edinburgh when the church begun. Jon trained as an accountant and now works full-time in management within RBS. Lucy is a trained paediatrician, although currently has chosen to remain at home to care for their young children, Robert and Emily. Lucy has a passion to see us helping young mothers in the community and started KingsTots.

Jon brought an added dimension to the eldership. He lead worship and in his spare time is an avid D.I.Y.er often laying a floor or knocking down a wall in between his busy schedule.
Jon and Lucy currently live in Hongkong on placement. When they return Jon will be active as an elder again.
