Leaders and Staff

We have an eldership team that leads the church comprising of Matt and Dan, together with other staff who help make the church run smoothly.

Matt and Ann Clifton-Brown

Matt and Ann came to Edinburgh over 10 years ago to plant the church from Newcastle.

Matt leads the eldership team and is also involved in a wider ministry helping to see other church plants get going and training leaders to plant further churches.

They have 6 grown up children and 8 grandchildren (started young!). In their spare time they like live Jazz, theatre and South Africa.

Dan and Julie Hudson

Dan and Julie joined the church 10 years ago. Julie works part-time as a GP, and Dan work full time for the church, although he used to give his time to developing wind-turbines and sewage!

Dan's main gifting is teaching and preaching, but also oversees administration, the new building project and the youth and children's work. They have 4 young children Jack, Sam, Evie and Ben and in their time off sleep!

Luke Davydaitis

Luke moved to Edinburgh in 2010 to start living in the same country as his fiancée, Debbie. They are now married and Luke is a part time member of staff at Kings, leading the student work and being part of the preaching team, whilst Debbie works as a doctor.

Luke enjoys photography, reading and writing (www.lukesblog.org). He would like to make it clear that his surname comes from Lithuania, it is not a disease.

Jenny Hartley

Jenny has been at Kings Church for over 2 years, having moved to Edinburgh for university, and works part time doing administrative work for the church.

Since starting the job, Jenny feels her greatest achievement has been instigating a recycling system in the church office and particularly enjoys using the office labelling machine.
