Giving

We serve a generous God and we live in a world of great need, so we love giving

King’s is totally self-sufficient and doesn’t receive funding from anyone else. Most of our income comes from the generous giving of our members.

Money is an emotive issue and can cause trouble in churches, so we work hard to be accountable, transparent, and use the money we receive diligently. King’s has a board of trustees, we publish a financial report every year, our accounts are audited independently, and we are a registered Scottish charity (number SC034328).

There are several ways to give financially to King’s:

  • You can set up regular payments or make one-off donations through ChurchSuite.
  • Setting up a regular standing order to our bank account enables us to plan our budget much more accurately (and might help you to as well!). Please download our giving form to get started with this.
  • At our Sunday services, we pass round offering bags for cash or cheques (which should be made payable to “King’s Church Edinburgh”).

However you choose to give, if you’re a UK taxpayer you can increase the value of your giving by 25% at no cost to you! We can claim the tax back from HMRC on whatever you give if you fill in a Gift Aid Declaration.
