On Saturday mornings throughout the year, a team of people from King’s can be found at The Meadows, offering free hot drinks – and much more. We set a table up with tea and coffee (and a bowl of water for dogs!) and get ready to welcome anyone who approaches us.
Every time we go, we show care through listening, have multiple conversations about Jesus, and are often able to pray with people. We have copies of John’s Gospel, testimony leaflets, and Why Jesus? booklets in various languages which we give away for free. Some people return to the table to chat again, others come along to our Sunday meetings.
If you would like to help with Street Café in any way, the team would love you to join them. For those who come for the first time, we offer a 15-minute introduction at 9.30am. We normally meet at the church building at 9.45am for croissants, prayer and worship, before heading to Middle Meadow Walk at 10.45am. The Café usually finishes by 12.30pm.
