In Ephesians 6:18, Paul instructs us to “pray in the Spirit, on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” Corrie Ten Boom once asked the question “Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tyre?” As we read Ephesians we realise prayer was Paul’s steering wheel (see Ephesians 1:15-17, 3:14-21, 6:10-20).
