Meals with Jesus

Developing our own friendship with Jesus through stories of his fellowship in the Bible

"Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.”"

Matthew 19:14

Have you ever wondered…

… what it would be like to eat a meal with Jesus? What would you talk about? What would you eat? Who else would be there?

In this series, we will be looking at different meals people had with Jesus and what happened at them. We will spend time with Jesus ourselves, finding out what he is like and hearing what he has to say to us.

Week 7: The wedding feast!

It’s exciting times in Billy and Callum’s house today as they’re planning a party! While thinking through the party decorations and food, they take a break to talk to us about what will be the best party of all time – which we can all be invited to!

Heroes (P3 – P7)

You can read about this amazing wedding feast in the Bible; it’s in Revelation 19:6-10.

Are you a part of God’s family? Will you be there at the wedding feast? How do we join this family? If you’re not sure, now is a great time to chat to your parents about it!

Supers (4 years – P2)

Have you ever been to a really fun party? Perhaps it was a birthday party with lots of your friends or family.

It’s great news Jesus that promises us that there is a great party waiting for us in Heaven for everyone who is in his forever family. There will be people from all countries, speaking all languages and all different coloured skin.

Everyone at this meal loves Jesus, everyone is included and welcomed. All of Jesus’ family are there. Do you know what it means to be part of Jesus’ family? Will you be at this party? Ask a grown up you are close to to find out about this.

Mighties (1 – 3 years)

Parties are great aren’t they? Not many have been able to happen this year, but one day we’ll be able to go the best party ever!

This quote is from “The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross”by Carl Laferton (highly recommended!)

We can live with God for ever! There will be nothing bad, and no one sad. We will see God and speak to God and just enjoy being with God – just as he planned. It will be wonderful to live with him. And it’s all because of Jesus.
