Seeking God and seeing change

Week of Prayer

Monday 14th to Sunday 20th June

Our latest Week of Prayer is a great opportunity to call on God together and listen to Him as He speaks to us about our priorities for the coming months:

  • Shepherd the church through a season of change (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, 1 Peter 5:1-4)
  • Rebuild vibrant kids, youth and student teams (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Psalm 145:4-7, Matthew 19:14)
  • Invite people who have joined us during lockdowns to become fully part of the church family (Acts 2:42-47, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
  • Help new and existing ministry leaders to grow in their gifts and leadership (2 Timothy 2:2, Matthew 28:20)
  • Identify and meet needs in our local and global community (Deuteronomy 10:17-19, Psalm 113:5-8, Proverbs 19:17, Acts 11:27-30, Galatians 2:10)
  • Make space for the Holy Spirit at every opportunity in all our gatherings (Psalm 23:2-3, Psalm 103:1-5, 1 Corinthians 12:9, 14:3)

There will be an in-person prayer meeting on Monday 14th June (book your place or watch the livestream), and we’re encouraging all our small groups to pray at their meetings during the week. We’d also love for everyone to seek God each day by themselves. We want to focus on a different priority each day and use a three-part structure to pray about it:

  • Listen. Read the day’s focus point, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about it, and spend time listening to Him.
  • Speak. Pray about today’s point, using the promises in the Bible references and anything God may have said to you about it.
  • Share. Process what you’ve heard from God: write, draw, record it for yourself, and share anything you feel God has said to you for King’s by emailing us.

Weekly Prayer Meetings

Fridays at 6.30am for women and 7am for men

Our hearts’ desire is to meet with God, hear from Him, and bring our requests to Him. The focus of these meetings varies and we try to engage with different styles of prayer. They are also great moments to see one another and pray together in smaller groups.

All our prayer meetings are currently held online and you can get log-in details for them by subscribing to our news email.

Prayer Walks

We’ve created two podcasts to help you go on a 30-minute prayer walk, with suggestions of how you can pray for your neighbourhood, and plenty of space for you to pray as you walk.

One is based on Psalm 46 and includes prayers for the pandemic, the second is based on Psalm 145. Both are also available from wherever you subscribe to podcasts and from our website.
