Prayer

Seeking God and seeing change

Prayer Meetings

Sundays once a month, 8pm; Fridays weekly at 6.30am for women and 7am for men

We feel that God is calling us to continue to press into prayer together, and there are opportunities to do this every week on Friday mornings, and as a whole church on a monthly Sunday evening.

Our hearts’ desire is to meet with God, hear from Him, and bring our requests to Him. The focus of the meetings varies and we try to engage with different styles of prayer. These are also great moments to see one another and pray together in smaller groups.

All our prayer meetings are currently held online and you can get log-in details for them by subscribing to our news email.

Prayer Walk

We’ve created a podcast to help you go on a 30-minute prayer walk. Using Psalm 46 as inspiration, it’s got suggestions of how you can pray for your neighbourhood, and plenty of space for you to pray as you walk.

The podcast is available with a musical accompaniment or with gaps of silence. Both are also available from wherever you subscribe to our usual podcast.

This was originally created for our 2021 Week of Prayer but it can be used at any time. Its unofficial title is “Couch To Let’s Pray!”

The Prayer Course

Started Wednesday 3rd February, fortnightly, 8-9pm

If you want to keep growing in prayer, attending The Prayer Course could really help. Led by Pete Greig, the founder of 24/7 Prayer and author of God On Mute and How To Pray, there is a wealth of prayer experience and inspiration for us to learn from.

We run The Prayer Course on alternate Wednesday evenings. Sessions will be online via Zoom and will involve watching an interview with Pete, followed by group discussion times. There are eight sessions, each based on The Lord’s Prayer (Luke 11:2-4):

  • Why pray?
  • Adoration
  • Petition
  • Intercession
  • Unanswered prayer
  • Contemplation
  • Listening
  • Spiritual warfare
